Year 6 have spent a brilliant week at PGL Tregoyd House in Powys, among the dramatic Black Mountains that are part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. PGL was established in 1957 and is a provider of school activity courses and adventure holidays.
With just four weeks before our Year 6 pupils move on to their new secondary schools, our annual PGL activity week has proved to be the perfect trip for fostering new skills, reinforcing and expanding friendships, and creating treasured memories.
The week at PGL provided lots of outdoor activities, great food and, this year, every kind of weather apart from snow! Highlights included zip lining, abseiling, kayaking, archery, campfire and raft building.
There were also many activities centred around teamwork and the children impressed us all with their communication and organisational skills, especially on the perilous Jacob’s Ladder and the Sensory Trail.
Adieu Year 6 and our very best wishes for many more exciting life adventures to come!
