Festival of Friendship & Culture

Our Jubilee Celebration of Friendship and Culture took place on Thursday 16th June 2022. It was a spectacular celebration of our school community. Workshops were undertaken all day around diverse forms of Art and Music and Chef Michael and his kitchen team prepared stacks of delicious dishes from around the world. The message was clear – all pupils are loved and valued at this school and we are all the better for our rich range of cultural heritage and lively individuals. We were delighted to welcome back Wandsworth MP Fleur Anderson who was a hard-pressed judge of the parade alongside our founder, Carmen Roche.

Watch the film of the event to see how we celebrated the range of cultural diversity at the school and the joie de vivre of our pupils.

At The Roche School, friendship and culture are very important to us. Everyone is unique, whether it’s your race, gender, culture or religion – we are all one big community.

To celebrate the Queen in her 70th year on the throne, we had a parade and many other activities. These included a dance workshop, steel pan music, bracelet making and henna tattoos. For the parade, we all dressed up to represent the culture that means the most to us. We saw a lot of variety of costumes, from hijabs to pride flags and even some animals.

We would like to thank everyone for their participation and wish you all a great summer!
