Library
The new Roche Library is fast becoming one of the most popular spaces in school. With its wide ranging collection of new books, imaginative displays, and themed promotions, the library is a cheerful, attractive and exciting place to be. Our children love their weekly library sessions and enjoy browsing through the books and choosing their new book. We emphasise reading for pleasure and staff aim to introduce the children to books which will expand their horizons.
There is something for everyone, from picture books and graphic novels, via emergent reader chapter books and short novels, to classics, not forgetting our broad range of non-fiction. At the Roche School we take our library seriously and, together with paired reading and the parent-child reading scheme, it plays a key role in our literacy development strategy.
