The theme for this week's Year 5 and 6 Library Session is 'Runners'. Mrs Melanie reads excerpts from: Ghost by Jason Reynolds published by Knights Of and Armistice Runner by Tom Palmer published by Conkers.
This week's Year 5 and 6 Library Session is called 'Do you believe in ghosts?' Mrs Melanie reads extracts from Seaglass by Eloise Williams published by Firefly and The Glass Children by Kristina Ohlsson published by Jonathan Cape.
The theme for this week's Year 5 and 6 Library Session is 'Dark Humour'. Mrs Melanie has selected the following books on this topic: 'The Thornthwaite Inheritance' by Gareth P.Jones published by Bloomsbury; 'King Bones' by Chris Hallatt Wells published by Everything With Words.

2020 Archive: Years 5 & 6 Library Sessions
Mrs Melanie introduces three classics with a modern retelling for each one. In this edition she looks at Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre with a simplified re-telling by Tanya Landman,: Pride and Prejuduce by Jane Austen accompanied by Lydia, The Wild Girl of Pride and Prejudice by Natasha Farrant and finally Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle alongside Young Sherlock - Death Cloud by Andrew Lane.
For this week's Year 5 and 6 Library session Mrs Melanie reads from three Science Fiction books: 'Mortal Engines' by Philip Reeve published by Scholastic; 'Fahrenheit 451' by Ray Bradbury published by Harper Collins; 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' by Douglas Adams published by Masterworks.
This week Mrs Melanie has selected three novels with first person narratives: 'Wonder' by RJ Placios published by Corgi; 'Once' by Morris Gleitzman published by Puffin; 'Hetty Feather' by Jacqueline Wilson published by Corgi.
