Friday was a glass shattering, operatic extravaganza at the school. We had the opportunity of experiencing a full day opera event, ‘Die Zauberflöte’ from Reception to Year 6. It started in assembly where the professional opera singers and conductor introduced the medium and performed ‘Der Vogelfänger’. Each year group then had a session with the professionals where they learnt how to conduct and participated in a singing workshop. It was enriching for the children to experience classical music at the highest level and the performances were spellbinding.
