Student Council

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils and gives pupils a clear voice in many aspects of our daily school life. New School Council representatives are elected by their classes every year.

The fortnightly meetings are led by the pupils, with guidance from the School Council coordinator, Ms Amy. In each meeting, the children discuss exciting new ideas from the suggestions board, follow up on previous targets and work towards new projects. The children enjoy having the responsibility of updating their classes and are part of discussions about forthcoming initiatives.

Recently, the council have planted their own herb garden to grow fresh herbs for use in the school kitchen and they are currently designing a colourful new mural for their playground. Pupils also worked to collect information about their classes’ heritage and language to ensure that every child’s background and identity is reflected in our generous and diverse school library books collection.
