Safeguarding
Safeguarding is of utmost importance and is a vital shared responsibility across our school community. Safeguarding training and support is led by our Designated Safeguarding Lead, who holds overall responsibility for this essential function. All staff and visitors play an important part in promoting the welfare of children and we ensure everyone understands their role in keeping pupils safe. Our approach is grounded in the national statutory guidance document, Keeping Children Safe in Education, and focuses on:
- Protecting children from harm, abuse, and neglect
- Supporting healthy development in all areas of life
- Providing safe, stable, and caring learning environments
- Acting early and effectively to secure positive outcomes for every child
We work proactively to help children understand how to stay safe — online, in public spaces, and in everyday life. Our pupils are encouraged to speak up and know that their concerns will be treated with care, respect, and urgency.
The Roche School’s safeguarding policies are regularly reviewed and are fully embedded in daily school life. We value strong partnerships with parents and carers — your concerns and insights are always welcome.
If you have a safeguarding concern, please contact a member of our safeguarding team.

Safeguarding at The Roche School is not just about protection — it is about building a community where every child can feel safe, grow with confidence, and reach their full potential.
