Dear Parents,
Year 5 and 6 have enjoyed a fun filled trip to Les Deux Alpes on the annual ski trip. The children were lucky to enjoy beautiful weather during their trip, making their introduction to the slopes even more special. They’ve had great fun racing down the mountain on a Snake Glisse and treating themselves to delicious crêpes and hot chocolates. With plenty of time spent skiing, the group has shown wonderful teamwork – listening to one another, offering support, and encouraging each other every step (and slide) of the journey! Thanks to Mrs Charlotte, Mr Tyrone, Miss Kate, Ms Ros and Miss Izzy for taking the children on the trip.
On Monday, Reception enjoyed a lovely visit to Wandsworth Park, where they saw a team of impressive heavy horses. It was a great chance to be outdoors and see these gentle giants up close – a real highlight of the week!
The Early Years along with Keswick House Nursery spent a wonderful day at The Look Out Discovery centre on Tuesday. A big thanks to all the parents who volunteered. The children had a fantastic time exploring the water play and the construction centre using pulleys and driving dump trucks. They especially loved the playground too.
On Wednesday, Year 4 headed to Sherwood Forest for medieval fun in ‘Hoodwinked’. The H for Humour of The Roche Approach was very much in evidence and there were some fabulous dramatic performances and fulsome singing by the whole cast with ambitious harmonies to boot. Well done to all the children and many thanks to the Year 4 team for putting on such a great show.
Congratulations to all those children who won the Easter bonnet competition, chocolate egg prizes kindly provided by FORS. Mrs Louise and Mr Matthew were our expert judges and it was a tough call with so much effort.
