We understand that navigating a new language can be challenging, which is why our dedicated English as an Additional Language specialists provide both in-class and small-group support as part of the core school fees. They work hand-in-hand with subject teachers to ensure that language development is seamlessly integrated into all areas of the curriculum, helping children to not only keep up but also thrive academically.
Our EAL lessons are a vibrant mix of activities designed to build confidence and fluency. We use a variety of techniques, including games and role-play, to make learning dynamic and fun. This approach allows pupils to practise new vocabulary and sentence structures in a friendly, low-pressure environment.
Our goal is to build every child’s English language skill and ensure they feel a sense of belonging and confidence within our inclusive school community. When it is time to consider the transition to secondary school, we take great care to support families in selecting the right secondary school that will allow each child to reach their full potential.

We are delighted that you are considering The Roche School and Nursery for your child. We teach children from 2-11 and entry is non-selective in Reception. Most of our pupils join our Nursery (aged 2+) or Reception class (aged 4+) and places may also be available for entry at other ages to join.
