The Friends of The Roche School (FORS) is a parent-teacher association and registered charity (number 1152119) run entirely by parent volunteers. We organise a variety of fundraising and social events, aiming to enrich school life for all families at the school.
We welcome questions, comments and suggestions, so do get in touch with your class representative, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
What we do
We raise funds for "nice extras" and equipment that will enrich school life for all pupils. We also organise fun activities that bring parents, pupils and staff together, promoting a strong school community. These include Movie Nights, Quiz Night, the Festive Fair, the Disco, Second Hand Uniform Sales and the Summer Fete.
In the past, funds raised by parents have been used for:
- Two new school minibuses
- 20 iPads, chargers and protective cases
- House point boxes
- A stage for the main hall
- A rock climbing wall, other playground equipment and a mural
We also like to raise money for charity. This year we are supporting charities that the pupils themselves have selected for their houses.
We hold regular meetings to discuss school items of topical interest and general PTA matters. The meetings are open to all parents and staff of the school, so we would love to see you there!
