PTA-FORS

Friends of The Roche School (FORS) is a parent-teacher association run entirely by parent volunteers and established to strengthen the school community.

FORS organises a variety of fundraising and social events, aiming to enrich school life for pupils and parents alike. We welcome questions, comments and suggestions, so do get in touch with us at rochefriends@gmail.com.

What we do

We raise funds for the school house charities and "nice extras" and equipment that will improve school life for all pupils. We also organise fun activities that bring parents, pupils and staff together, promoting a strong school community based on school values. These include Movie Nights, Quiz Night, the Discos, Second Hand Uniform Sales and the Summer Fete.

Among other things, funds raised by parents have been used for:

  • Resurfacing the playground
  • Two new school minibuses
  • 20 iPads, chargers and protective cases
  • Purchasing virtual reality equipment
  • A stage for the main hall
  • A rock climbing wall, other playground equipment and a mural
  • Organising first aid training for Year 6

FORS fully supports the school in its wide-ranging charitable initiatives and ensures that every child at the school is able to access FORS events and benefits.

In more recent years, The Roche School commitment to EDI (Equality, Diversity & Inclusion) has seen the parent body increasingly involved in working with the school in order to celebrate the wide range of faiths and cultures seen at the school.
