Early Years Excellence

The Roche School is delighted with the Early Years results where our pupils have significantly outperformed the National and Wandsworth Borough averages.

The Early Years Foundation Stage 2022-23 profile results were published in 2023, and show the percentage of children performing at the expected level of development for the seven early learning goals. Upon comparison, children attending Reception at The Roche School continue to perform far higher than their local peers. We are really pleased with the well-deserved end of year outcomes.

The EYFS Profile is a statutory assessment of children’s development at the end of Reception. Each child is assessed against 17 early learning goals across seven areas of learning. For each early learning goal, teachers assess whether a child meets the level of development expected at the end of the Reception. This information provides a reliable summative assessment of each child’s development in order to support successful transitions to Year 1.

The excellent results reflect the hard work and commitment of both the teachers and children at The Roche School, and are testament to the high-quality lessons and interactions in the Early Years, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.
